Think you've got what it takes?
On the evening of Friday July 28, the Court of Talent will be in session.
Solo or group, every type of act is welcome (as long as it's legal, of course). Each participant gets between 3-5 minutes of fame - less time than it takes to read a typical legal disclaimer.
Counsel, approach the bench.
Our panel of judges, who will be far more entertaining than your typical jury, will select the top acts. But here's the twist: our audience will cast the final vote and decide the winner! And the prize? Well, let's just say it's way more fun than finding a precedent.
Don't be contempt of fun. Enter before July 14.
Rules & Guidelines
If you're a registered delegate at the ALSA Conference 2023, you've hit the jackpot! This talent show is open to you. It's time to unleash your hidden talents!
2. Individuals & Groups:
Going solo or banding up with mates? We don't mind! Both individuals and groups can enter. No limit on group size, but every member has to be part of the conference. Multiplying your chances to win, are we?
3. Types of Talent:
Singing, dancing, juggling, reciting pi to 1000 digits - we welcome all talents! Just remember to keep it respectful and enjoyable for our fantastic audience.
4. Act Length:
Your moment in the spotlight lasts from 3-5 minutes. If your act's setup or breakdown lasts longer than a microwavable popcorn bag, you might need to speed it up.
5. Equipment & Props:
Got a unicycle or need a grand piano? Let us know on the registration form. We'll do our best to meet your needs, but our magic lamp only grants limited wishes!
Complete your registration before July 6. We'd hate for your act to miss out because you're fashionably late.
7. Judging and Prizes:
Our superstar judges will select the top 3 acts, and then the audience steps in to vote for the final winner. Yes, there are prizes. No, we won't tell you what they are. Yes, they're amazing.
