Develop a deeper understanding of the regional legal landscape and how these circumstances intersect with professional development, legal education and career prospects.
- Regional engagement can often be overlooked by key legal stakeholders - with the majority of private and public graduate programs located in metro areas. This support session will highlight some of the largest disparities in legal education and how they could be affecting your students.
- We will also discuss strategies larger LSS/A’s can implement to share their advantages to support smaller LSS/A’s in a mutually beneficial way.
- We will provide insight into the unique experiences of regional law students and how this may affect their law school experience.
- Our overarching goal is to facilitate meaningful discussions and gain practical strategies for ALSA to implement to best support regional LSS/A’s and students into the future.
Additionally, the session will provide a platform for students to connect with professionals, mentors, and peers, enabling them to build a robust network and gain invaluable insights. We will offer guidance, support, and a sense of community to aspiring lawyers, equipping them with the necessary tools to navigate their legal education and career effectively.
